This passage teaches us that material possessions <strong>(REKHUSH meaning Gathered Goods<\/strong>) should not be the foundation of our confidence. Standing with Jesus in the supernatural should be a lifestyle, not just a casual experience. Peter had (to <strong>HALAHKH) <\/strong>to walk the path that Jesus had made for him to advance.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our steps should never be swayed by the wind and turbulence that life presents. Our confidence in taking steps toward the impossible should be rooted in the command of the supernatural. In <strong>Genesis 3:8<\/strong>, when God walked in the cool of the day, His thunderous steps caused Adam and Eve to hide. This should be the opposite of our response. Instead of running from fear and anxiety, we should find comfort in Jesus, standing firm with Him and overcoming fear.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We often retreat to our &#8220;boats&#8221; (comfort zones) when life\u2019s challenges arise, yet we still ask God to engage us in the supernatural. We need to develop the strength to stand against the winds, hurricanes, and tornadoes of life. The Greek word <strong>PERIPATEO<\/strong> means to live your walk, confidently standing with Jesus. The enemy will try to make us afraid, and our firm stand will break all anxiety and fear, keeping us from returning to our boats. All generational yokes of intimidation will be broken as proclaimed in <strong>Isaiah 10:27<\/strong>.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jesus is the Captain of our boat (our life), and many people sink their ships when they try to be the captain themselves. The word &#8220;captain&#8221; comes from the Latin <strong>CAPIT<\/strong>, meaning &#8220;head.&#8221; Jesus is the head of the Church, and we must trust Him to lead us through stormy waters and boldly step into the supernatural.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We cannot pray the <em>Jabez<\/em> prayer\u2014<em>&#8220;Oh Lord, extend my territory and enlarge my borders&#8221;<\/em>\u2014while remaining paralyzed by fear and anxiety, retreating to our boats when challenges arise. Our confidence must not lie in the material goods (<strong>REKHUSH<\/strong>) we cling to as a hiding place.
